Let’s talk about hypnotic rhythm.
What is hypnotic rhythm?
It’s the cadence of your thoughts, your thought patterns, your life patterns.
The way your brain sorts input.
Have you found yourself in a pattern that always looks for problems before it makes decisions? Anticipating the worst before you’ve even left your house?
Our brain is a super-computer that looks for patterns and then spits out answers. This is for efficiency and is amazing…if you are doing the EXACT same thing over and over again.
The problem?
Everything is constantly changing so to have the exact same reaction to DIFFERENT people, places and situations will keep getting you the same crappy results over and over. It’s pretty much the algorithm of your thoughts.
Throw in the algorithm of social media, which will contribute EXPONENTIALLY to your own hypnotic rhythms, and you are stuck in the same loops over and over.
Which then feeds back into a silo of anxiety that we ALL continue to feel.
So, how can we change our hypnotic rhythm?
First, do something different.
ANYTHING.
If you normally walk the same way to the grocery store, take a different route. Change up your music for 30 minutes.
Watch a video of something you’re NOT interested in. Or that seems strange but is intriguing.
What does this do?
It breaks through your current pattern and distracts your brain and body from its regular pattern.
Why is this important?
In case you haven’t noticed many of us have been collectively stuck in an anxiety loop for more half a decade and it’s time to break this cycle.
If you’re looking to create new habits and reset your life, hypnosis might be a good step for you.
